It's a BOY!

September started out with us going to Boise for Labor Day weekend. It was so much fun! We went boating, played games, and went to see a play at Starlight Mountain Theatre. They were closing so this was the last chance that I would have to see a play there and I wanted to take Rusty. On the way we stopped at a little park by the river and had a picnic and watched as the men tried to show their toughness by climbing out on rocks and almost falling in. Multiple times. :) We got to Starlight and started watching the play when all of a sudden it started thundering and pouring rain! We went into the backstage area that was covered to try to wait it out, but the forecast said that it was going to last for a really long time. So they canceled the show that night and gave everyone rain checks for the next weekend... when we will be back in Seattle. Blast.

Then after Labor Day the school year started! I started observing my mentor teacher and then slowly started taking lessons over. I feel in love with those kids and absolutely loved teaching! I was so excited for my Student Teaching!

Another fun thing that happened is that Rusty's family came to visit! He took Friday off but I had a training that I couldn't get out of. They spent the day walking around downtown, seeing Pike's Market, the gum wall, Troll and Gas Works Park. I was sad to miss all of the fun!

On Saturday I got to join in! We walked around the Space Needle and ended up being in the square for the Italian Festival! There was Italian food being sold everywhere, music, Ferraris and Ducatis. It was awesome!

After walking around we went on a duck tour which was awesome! That is something that has been on my Seattle Bucket List but we had never gotten around to doing it. They are these old WWII vehicles that can drive on land and in the water. So you start by driving around the city and doing a tour and then you drive right into Lake Union and tour around! It is so cool!

My pregnancy kept progressing! My baby bump was getting bigger which I loved and was so excited about! Also exciting was that my morning sickness lightened dramatically and I was able to eat more than just crackers and bread. I craved pasta like crazy and we ate at Olive Garden... A lot. Rusty is a good sport. I also went pregnancy clothes shopping right after Labor Day to get some clothes for me for work. Later in the month we went again after I had a meltdown because none of my clothes fit haha. After I got some maternity clothes I felt a lot better :)

On September 24 we had an ultrasound to find out the gender! We find out our little baby was a boy and we were so excited! It was also the first time I knew I was feeling him kick because I could see it on the monitor and feel it at the same time. It was such a great thing! Afterwards we called or friends and family and then... Went to Olive Garden to celebrate :)

To celebrate fall starting we went on a few outings to drive around and see the colors. For one of these drives we went to Issaquah and saw the fish ladder full of salmon. It was right after the sun set so our was getting kind of dark and the pictures are hard to see, but it was still a lot of fun!

During September we also went kayaking at Lake Union one more time because it was so fun last time! This time we got a tandem kayak and went into a completely new area of the lake that we had never been to before. It feels so great to get out and explore!
