We rode ATVs up to the reservoir to go fishing and walk around for a little bit. Henry was standing on a log with Rusty and there was a dead spider in a spider web. They talked about how it was dead, and then it started blowing in the wind and so Henry jumped in the water haha. The freezing cold water. When he was telling Karla about it he said, "There was a spider and I just lost my mind." Hahaha. This kid.
We also got to do some mountain biking! Who knew that there were so many awesome trails up there! We didn't take a picture but one of my favorite parts of the weekend was when Rusty and I got to go for a little ride just us. We sat on a bridge by Rex's cabin and then I walked on a log to get back to the bank. Rusty pointed at my arm and there was this nasty, wet spider's egg nest all over my arm! I freaked out and grabbed some bush thing that turned out to be covered in spikes to wipe it off, and then found some grass. It was terrible haha. But everything before that was really nice. It wouldn't be the cabin if we didn't play around in the canoe on the pond, and the kids really loved it. Guess who else loved it. Bailey haha. She was jumping in any chance she had. And once she even jumped in and took off in the canoe by herself haha.
Once we were back in Utah, we wanted to take advantage of the weather before it got too cold so we went camping in Maple Canyon with my parents and Jessica and Aaron. It's beautiful over there, and we had a blast riding our dirt bikes and ATV up the trail right from our camp site. We also spent a day rock climbing and Henry did so well! He really loves it. And as always, the kids loved just having the free space to roam around.
She was so grumpy one day hahahaha
Jessica brought some bug kits!
Della just liked to swing from the rope haha
We signed the kids up for soccer! It was totally just low key and for fun. They had teams for two year olds, and then teams for three and four year olds. Adeline was absolutely uninterested and wouldn't even stay on the field. The only time I got a picture of her kicking the ball in the goal was because I told her I would give her a cookie haha. Henry on the other hand, was a natural! He truly was so talented. He was making like seven goals a game, and the coach had to challenge him to stop just trying to make goals but to try to pass it to another player (which is super hard haha). I am so proud of him!
Jessica and I took the kids rock climbing at the gym! They both enjoyed it more than I thought they would, and again Henry showed some natural talent and ability. Because he tends to be a little anxious and cautious, I didn't expect him to go very high. But he went almost to the top of the huge wall! I was so proud of him! Della did great, but also spent a lot of her time running around the little kid boldering area singing "Let it Go". So, about normal.
One day we met my parents at the Hogle Zoo. I hadn't been in years, and I don't think Adeline had ever even been to a zoo (oops). So it was overdue and really fun! We ended up getting memberships there so we will have to go a few more times to make that worth it! The kids loved seeing the animals, but they both particularly loved the elephants. We spent quite a bit of time just watching them. While we were leaving, Rusty called and told me some pretty scary news. So my parents took the kids with them so I could go to the ER and meet Rusty.
Rusty went to Boise to race in an old timer's Motocross race there on September 21. He met his buddy from Seattle there too, and was overall just so excited about the whole thing. In the practice Saturday morning he fell when he was landing from a jump, and hurt his back. He didn't race Saturday but decided to stay until everything was over on Sunday. He told me that he was only a little hurt and he would be fine. When I saw him on Sunday it was only really briefly because we were late to go to our friends' house for dinner. As I was watching him through dinner I got more and more concerned. I told him that he needed to make an appointment for first thing Monday morning, so he went in. The doctor told him he needed to go get x-rays, so he did, and then he called to follow up on Monday. He didn't hear anything and the secretary told him that they would call when they had news. So he is still going to work and doing errands and all kinds of things. Then on Tuesday he called again and they told him that they were waiting to hear back from the specialist. Tuesday night they called him and told him that he needed to go into the ER ASAP and to be careful because any fall could paralyze him. WHAT?! It went from him being just sore to a full on compressed spinal cord. He shattered the T-7 vertebrae. Spencer took him to the ER while I was driving back from Salt Lake and then I went to the ER too. Overall, he had a two week hospital stay, two surgeries, and a week in the ICU. It was very scary and we are very, very blessed and grateful that he is ok.

Extra Pictures
I watch this little boy Jonas every Tuesday and he is so grumpy haha
So, there was a bit of a miscommunication. Rusty was trying to get rid of some wood, and a guy called him and said he saw the ad and then asked where he could drop off the wood. Well Rusty felt too bad to say anything, so he gave him our address haha. Then we just had all of this wood. In our driveway.
Henry was mad about the guy dropping off the wood hahahaha
Della got a baby and stroller for giving up her pacifier!
Rusty and I got to go on a special date to the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival! It was so fun, even if I had to somewhat drag Rusty there because he thought it was only for boring librarians. We got dinner before and it was delicious! And a man that looked like Snape kept walking by and Rusty would get so distracted haha.
One day Henry sent these toys with Rusty to work to play with with his friends.
We took a fun adventure and rode the city bus for free down to the Provo temple and then to the Provo Library!
We went mini golfing with the Bartons!
We went to the Bean Museum for the first time! We met Chelsea and her kiddos there and it was so fun!
