At the beginning of the month we announced that we were expecting another baby! We took these pictures and sent them out and put them on Facebook. I had to bribe Henry with candy to smile in the pictures, but they turned out good. :)
We'd wanted to take a trip to Whistler over Christmas break, but everyone got sick so we couldn't make it. We decided to take the trip over a weekend in January and we had so much fun! The drive up there is so beautiful! It was really hard to take pictures, but I got some on the way back. We got up there Friday afternoon and checked into our hotel and went swimming and playing on the water slide. Rusty tried the slide first and said it would be fine with me taking Henry down at the same time, so I took him and we both went under the water at the end. That is a crazy slide! It goes so fast! So, for the rest of the night we just played with Henry in the pool and relaxed before heading down to the hotel restaurant for some dinner.
Saturday we woke up early and got ready to make the drive to Whistler. One of the chains that's really popular there is Tim Horton's, so we decided to grab breakfast there on the way out. We got yummy bagel breakfast sandwiches! Henry went to a daycare while we spent the day snowboarding. It was so beautiful and a lot of fun! I was a little bit nervous of falling because I was pregnant, but it was still fun!
French everywhere!
Picking Henry up from daycare!
On our way back from Whistler we went to a restaurant, White Spot, to get dinner and try some poutine. Everyone says how delicious poutine is, so we were excited to try it. I have to say that I was disappointed, but Rusty really liked it! We went back to the hotel and the boys played in the pool while I stayed in the room and rested my old, pregnant body from being on the slopes all day haha.
Sunday we went swimming one last time. Henry just loves the water, and we had figured out the first night that if you put Henry just on the last part of the slide that it worked great!
One Saturday the weather was just too good to pass up! So we pressed pause on some of the "to do list" items we had planned, and decided to go for a nice little hike. We went to Old Robe Trail, and it was Bailey's first hike! She was so excited to be out there, and to be off leash for the majority of it. She was running around like a crazy person having the time of her life!
Another Saturday we took advantage of our Aquarium Membership and went down for a little while. Henry loves looking at all of the fish, and Rusty and I always enjoy going too. Henry was being a bit of a stinker with the cut out pictures. Every time I was ready he would move out, and if I moved out he would put his head perfectly in the hole. Stinker!
Henry is getting busier and busier, and so I have been trying to have lots of activities planned out for him to do. It's fun to watch him learn and grow and get so excited about trying new things!

Henry's Highlights:
- Man, this kid is at such a fun age! He is constantly doing something new and surprising us. He LOVES to play with his toy kitchen that he got for Christmas, and is always doing little things that copy us like seasoning his food with the play salt and pepper. Any time he puts something on the stove he says, "Owww, hot!" just like we do for the real one haha.
- World's best helper! Henry loves to help, and is actually getting pretty useful with unloading the dishwasher, doing the laundry, and bringing things like diapers or toys for Bailey. When he hears the washer and dryer open he starts yelling "Help! Help!" and comes running to help.
- He is absolutely in love with Lightning McQueen right now.
- He is talking so much!
- Henry got his first haircut and he did great! Afterwards, we went and got his first ice cream cone.
- This kid loves cereal and toast. More than anything else, and more than anyone I know haha. He is constantly asking for both.
- Anytime we says something about driving he starts running around waving his arms like he is driving a giant steering wheel.
- We've spent a lot of time sick this month, and that has meant lots of time snuggled up on the couch. I like part of that a lot :)
- One of my favorite things is if you say something that reminds him of a toy or something that he wants, he all of a sudden yells "Buh bye! See ye! Love you!" and takes off sprinting to go get it haha.
