I can't believe it's already November! I'm pretty sure I say that every post though. I guess by now I should stop being so surprised that time is flying by! This month was spent trying out some new things in our new home, having some visitors, and soaking up the beautiful sunny weather here.
With the Hike it Baby group we hiked up Rock Canyon. It is one of my favorite hikes, but I don't like to do it alone so it was great to go with some other people. It was a little chilly but it sure was nice to get outside. I am loving the sun here!
Rusty is really loving his new work, and I am loving all of the fun things they do! They had a formal Casino Night one weekend and it was so much fun! We had no idea what we were doing, but the workers were quite good at explaining the rules to us and helping us out. I won a ton of money for everyone at Craps (except for me and Rusty haha) but in our last few minutes we ran over to Roulette table and tripled our money! We ended up winning a prize (thermoses) and then someone else won some flashlights and he gave them to us because I won him all the money at Craps haha. It was really fun to try something new for us, and to have an excuse to get fancy.
We made it to the Children's Museum for the first time and it was a hit with Henry! It is not as good as the Everett one, but it does have some cool things that that one doesn't have! Including a huge play jungle area, but I didn't let Henry go by himself because I didn't want him to get lost. I tried going with him but with Della strapped to me I didn't get very far haha. He liked the water part and the bank part the most.
We have definitely been taking advantage of the park by our house. We have visited it many times, but once we rode our bikes there! Rusty pulled Della in the trailer and Henry rode his bike all by himself. It was kind of a surreal thing to be riding bikes as a family. I can't believe our kids are that old- and that we have kids to be riding their bikes! Ok, well Henry. Della wasn't exactly pedaling around haha.
Della's all bundled up ready for our ride!
Once we got there, Henry had a great time racing us around the pathway. Then we decided to take a little break and play in all of the leaves, and he really loved jumping in the pile!
Henry has started to have a hard time with sharing with Adeline. So, I decided that it would be a great time to have a little Mommy and Henry Date. We woke up and went to Village Inn for breakfast just the two of us- and it was a hit! He liked his breakfast, but mostly he just kept saying how fun it was to have a "special date, just Mommy and Henry."
We have found such a fun park close to us! It is next to the Orem Library, and it is seriously the coolest park I've ever seen! It has a zip line, lots of cool swings, a music dancing thing, and a bunch of cool toys! The kids and I have gone a few times, and once we went and picked Rusty up for lunch and took him there with some Chick fil a. Rusty was swinging with Henry and stuck his foot out and they both fell down. It was seriously so funny haha!
Henry's favorite slide!
Henry and I were in charge of making the place setters for Thanksgiving dinner, and we decided to make some pinecone turkeys! I thought that he might think it was fun, but what I was not prepared for was how much he would enjoy the pinecone hunt at the park. For days after he would ask to go find pinecones! He was in heaven. The rest of it was way more adult skill level because of the hot glue, so he just picked out the feathers. They turned out hilariously cute.

On the drive over we saw the most beautiful sunset over the back of Timp. Like always, this picture doesn't do it justice!
Henry LOVES Hazel.
Hazel feels differently about him.
We had lots of fun the few days we were there too! We went horseback riding, made gingerbread houses, the boys went shooting, and the girls took a four generation picture with Adeline!
I was nervous about riding Rosemary.
Henry loves riding! He always says he is a cowboy.
Snuggles with Grandma
Love these ladies!
One day, Uncle John came at took us up to see the yurt. We took Henry with us but left Adeline (she did ok, and even got to taste some mashed potatoes from Grandma). The ride up got really steep sometimes and the edges made me feel a little nervous, but the views at the top are truly stunning! So, so beautiful!
For Family Night one week we went to the Nickelcade! We weren't sure if Henry would really be old enough to enjoy it, but he sure liked playing all of the games and getting tickets. At the end he got to pick out prizes with his tickets which was a huge hit! We did have to steer him towards some cool toys, or he would have just got a million suckers. This kid loves suckers!
Then it was time of one of my most favorite nights of the year!!! It was time to DECORATE THE TREE!! And eat chip dip! And watch Rudolph! Oh what a glorious night, and it is so fun now that Henry is getting a little older and can really enjoy these things. He loved watching Rudolph and eating the chips. I don't think he was a huge fan of the chip dip, but that will come in time. :) Oh man, it's nights like this that make me feel so grateful for my little family. These things are what life is for.
It is so fun to have a little girl to put the clothes on that you wore as a baby! Seriously, it is the sweetest thing. Check these out.
Henry's Highlights
- He constantly asks, "What you do-ding?" and he says "Oh my gosh!" a lot. Another favorite that he says is any time he says yes he says, "Uh huh yes". Any time he wants a lot of something he says, "Up to the skies!" He always calls Bailey Bailey Wailey, or Bailey Wailey Wailey and his little tongue just goes so fast. And he says, "I'm going to pinch your bunny (bummy)!"
- Henry loves to get ready with me. He is so fascinated with my make up. One day he was gone and said, "I have to get ready." I didn't think much of it, but then he came out like this haha.
And heck. Here's another sucker. But this one I didn't know about.
- He LOVES to pray, and he always says it's his turn. If we try to help him with something he just opens his eyes and looks right at you and says, "It's Henry's turn." And for some reason, when he finishes praying (after Amen) he tacks on in a little whisper: "Please bless Jesus." haha
- Henry loves to help cook food and do dishes and he always has to get his chair. He asks before he goes to get it like a little sweetie.
- He says I love you often.
- He loves to play with his kitchen. He comes up and asks, "You hunny (hungry) Mommy?? For Henry's food?"
- Henry is so obedient and listens so well (most of the time). If I tell him he can't have something, he just says, "I have it tomorrow?? Ok." We have the little Nativity set out now because I know he won't touch it.
- Henry hates if you are sad. He will try to physically make you smile, bring you things, or go and find Daddy to make me happy.
- He still calls Adeline Della Bella.
- Sometimes he loves to pick out my clothes and Della's clothes, and then he says, "Oh that is so beautiful!"
- Henry loves to help! With anything and everything.
Rusty was up working on tearing out some cabinets upstairs, and Henry wanted to work with him. He went and got his tool box and asked to go help. My heart almost burst!! Look at this cutie!!
- He is a great negotiator already. If I say no to him eating a treat, he says, "Just one Mommy. Just one." If I say he can have one he says, "Ok! One, two??"
- One of his favorite games is to hide from us, but as soon as we start looking for him he just runs out.
- If he wants to do something bad or wrong, he tells me to go nu-nite or to my room.
- He sings along (loudly) to the hymns at church or songs at FHE. He also sings "I'm so Glad When Daddy Comes Home."
- At the end of the month when we put his lights up in his room he just stared at them, and then said "It makes me so happy, good job Mommy! Daddy come look at Henry's lights!"
- If I need help he says, "I got you!"
Adeline's Adventures
- Adeline is four months!
- Della found her hands! She puts everything in her mouth. Gnawing on things.
- She is LOUD! She talks and squeaks all of the time.
- She always gnaws on her hands, and sometimes just a finger. Maybe she will be a thumb sucker?
- Adeline always prefers to face out- she is not much of a snuggler. But lately I have been able to get her to sleep on me! Hooray!
- She loves to watch the ceiling fan.
- When she eats she puts her feet together like hands praying.
- She has the most sparkly, beautiful eyes! They really just are so sparkly.
- We got her first laughs!! November 7th. They aren't hearty belly laughs yet, just squealy giggles.
- She loves her piano mat and talks to all of the toys on it.
- She has had a runny nose since we moved her, but she is finally starting to feel better!
- Della stops eating to look at me and smile. It is both cute and annoying haha.
- She is sitting up in her Bumbo now!
- Her favorite song is "The Grand Old Duke of York". She loves that song because you move her around. Basically, she loves to be thrown around and to be upside down. Like she loves being upside down!
- She smiles all of the time. When she is excited her legs start running in place like crazy. She does this cute little dance.
- She is still crazy about bath time! Towards the end of the month I started just putting her right in the tub without her little bath (where is my baby going?!) and she loves to just kick her legs.
Her first tub in the big tub!
- Everyone stops to look at Adeline and tell me how beautiful she is wherever we go. I've even had people ask to take her picture!
- She loves to stand up and sit up. She moves around on the ground a lot and will scoot around laying down. She rolls from her tummy to her back, and is close to rolling the other way!
- She is starting to get a little bit of hair!

One day we were doing a bunch of errands and we were by a pet store so I took Henry in as a surprise. He LOVED it! Especially the puppies. He kept singing, How Much is that Doggy in the Window.
Bath time with both babies!! This has been so fun. Henry loves trying to help wash Della. She loves to kick and splash, and it makes Henry so made when it gets on him but he can't splash her back haha.
Henry said he wanted to go to Grandma's house. He grabbed his backpack and favorite blanket.
Rusty and I put Henry on the counter one morning to go and get some stuff ready. We left the yogurt out and he went to town!
